“The naval forces, in cooperation with UNIFIL, completed an operation to rescue illegal migrants who were on a ship off the coast of Saalta, their number is 232 people,” RIA Novosti reports a statement from the Lebanese army.
It is noted that migrants are being evacuated to the port of Tripoli.
During the rescue operation, the servicemen removed the bodies of two dead from the water, the report says.
