After two years of cancellation following the different waves of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Champs-Élysées were able to see the New Year's revelers again.

Nearly a million people made the trip to celebrate the transition to the year 2023, with good resolutions in mind.

At last !

After two years without a party following the Covid-19 epidemic in France, the Champs-Élysées in Paris were once again able to celebrate the transition to the new year.

A return to normal that many Parisians and tourists wanted to celebrate.

They were nearly a million to spend the New Year on the most beautiful avenue in the world, double what was expected by the authorities on the spot.

In the compact crowd, lit by fireworks, many are delighted with a return to a life "before".

"We've wanted to celebrate New Year's Day on the Champs-Élysées for years. It's a real pleasure to be all together. We've all come together after two years of Covid and it's a real pleasure to share this all together", underlines this tourist.

good resolutions

A little further among the partygoers, some are already looking for resolutions to start the year 2023 well: "Return to sport, move forward in life and enjoy it", explains a group of friends at the microphone of Europe 1.

And above all, "stop chocolate" concludes one of them.

Good resolutions that the French have fun making, but which will not always be easy to maintain, with the risk of having forgotten them by the end of the week.
