6% of respondents each love the tradition of exchanging gifts and festive feasts.

The survey also notes that 5% of Russians like to make wishes.

Every 20th cannot imagine a holiday without Olivier.

Another 5% named rest as their favorite custom.

3% of respondents each like to go to the bathhouse on New Year's Eve, set off fireworks, cook festive meals and watch New Year's films.

In the course of the survey, 2% of Russians also named their favorite New Year's tradition of traveling, meeting the holiday in new places.

For another 2%, seeing off the old year is inextricably linked with their favorite sparkling drink.

In the “Other” variant, 11% noted street festivities, singing, the meeting of Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, getting rid of old things, and so on.

But 12% of respondents said that they do not have New Year's traditions, and only 7% found it difficult to answer.

“Women are more fond of such traditions as decorating the house and the Christmas tree, meeting with loved ones, making a wish, exchanging gifts, men are feasting, relaxing, going to the bathhouse,” the study says.

In total, 1.6 thousand representatives of the economically active population from all districts of the country took part in the New Year's open survey of the service.
