As of January 1, 2023, the government pump rebate of 10 centimes per liter will end, as will that of TotalEnergies.

A boost that will be replaced by targeted aid of 100 euros for the 10 million most modest workers.

Last hours before fuel costs you more.

Because from Sunday, the rebate at the pump of the government of 10 centimes per liter will end and that of TotalEnergies too.

This boost will be replaced by targeted aid of 100 euros, only for the 10 million most modest workers.

This does not delight the Parisian motorists met by Europe 1.

Making choices, cunning...

To refuel his Citroën C3, Franck pays 70 euros each time and from Sunday, it will be 80 euros.

"It's huge! But I have no choice ...", he says at the microphone of Europe 1 indicating that we will now have to make choices.

Difficult to assume this increase in prices, especially when you have several vehicles to fill.

To meet the fuel costs for his motorcycle and his wife's car, Stéphane is already planning to use tricks.

"We will have to find the cheapest petrol stations. In inner Paris, the price per liter is a bit expensive so we will have to go to the suburbs, I will fill up when I go to see my mother", he confides. .

"I'm revolted"

Dominique drives little for her part, but she remains very upset: "It doesn't change much for me, but I am outraged for the others, for all those who can no longer afford to pay."

And the aid of 100 euros for the most modest households will not change anything.

"It's a tip, it's not much compared to those who really need their car, what's that going to cost them 100 euros? Where are they going to go with that?"

Motorists are leaving full but already worried about the expenses to be assumed in January.
