  • Health measures impose controls on travelers arriving from China from the afternoon of the 31st

  • Wuhan Zoonotic spillover or lab leak?

Three years of unanswered questions about the origin of the Covid

Since lockdowns and mandatory tests began to be eliminated in China, cases of contagion have increased alarmingly.

Before the restrictions were lifted, the outbreaks had been increasing, but this decision has triggered the cases.

By not carrying out mandatory tests, it is almost impossible to track new cases in the country.

In addition,

the Chinese government has decided not to publish the figures for new infections

and the information -or not information- that we have comes from videos and testimonials on social networks.

Fear, therefore, returns to plan and the world begins to withdraw.

Spain has imposed health controls on passengers from China since December 31, and they will last until at least mid-February.

Other countries such as the US, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, India or Italy (where a flight landed in Milan on December 26 with 52% of infected passengers)

have also reintroduced more controls at airports and have recovered measures

such as the requirement of negative tests for travelers arriving from China and quarantines for positives.

Health has also recommended travelers whose destination or origin is the Asian country to complete their vaccination schedule and to act with caution.

To the rest of the population, to avoid contagion, the health authorities ask to apply "the lessons learned" in these three years since the virus born in Wuhan was first reported.
