She recalled that, according to the recommendations of the Interdepartmental Group of the State Council of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of COVID-19, it is recommended that, starting from January 8, 2023, a number of certain restrictions be lifted.

Among them are the refusal to issue a “health code” before the trip, the abolition of testing individuals for the presence of coronavirus infection upon arrival in China and the delivery of PCR tests.

“We positively assess these decisions of the Chinese side and express hope for the gradual resumption of large-scale exchanges between the peoples of our countries ... We will be ready to start working on these issues promptly upon receipt of a request from our Chinese partners,” the diplomat said in a statement.

The Consulate General of Russia in the Chinese city of Harbin did not rule out earlier that at the beginning of 2023, passenger land traffic across the Russian-Chinese border could open.
