Three feminicides in just 48 hours in Spain.
Dramas which bring to thirteen the number of murders of women by their spouses or ex-spouses during the month of December, which becomes by far the deadliest of the year 2022 in the country.
In total, there are 48 femicides in 2022, compared to 45 in 2021 and 43 in 2020. A paradox in a country considered a model in this area.

A gruesome murder has hit Spain in the middle of the holiday season.
In Escalona, in the province of Toledo, a man in his forties stabbed his wife who was nine months pregnant and who was about to give birth, reports our correspondent François Musseau.
It was their daughter who denounced the crime by calling 112, the number available 24 hours a day in Spain to report macho murders.
In Madrid, almost at the same time, a 21-year-old young woman was killed by her former companion, also stabbed.
In Benidorm, another young woman died, pushed from the sixth floor by her fiancé.

The press speaks of a black December for women.
A terrible month, when Spain undoubtedly has the most advanced legislation in the world in this area.
It is the so-called comprehensive law against domestic violence which provides psychologists, police officers and magistrates as soon as a complaint is filed via telephone calls received by hundreds of civil servants.
Since 2008, the number of victims has been globally decreasing.
This is why this year's increase worries and provokes the unfailing indignation of the entire political class, which calls for redoubled efforts to put an end to this scourge.
