Chechnya: facing journalists, Ramzan Kadyrov zealously defends the war in Ukraine

While Vladimir Putin canceled his in Moscow, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov held his annual direct line with journalists and residents of this Russian Caucasus republic well.

They want to impose their non-traditional values ​​on us, but we will never accept that.

Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov has been one

of the unconditional allies

of Vladimir Putin, who promoted him to the rank of colonel general.

The Chechen leader even sent his two minor sons to fight in Ukraine.

They came back with Ukrainian prisoners offered as gifts to their father.

Some criticisms against Russia

At the same time, Ramzan Kadyrov does not hesitate to criticize the Russian military command.

As for the general mobilization which could be decreed again at the start of 2023, he considers that Chechnya has already largely fulfilled the objectives.

In the Republic of Chechnya, we have exceeded our mobilization target by 254%

 ," said the leader.

In the fall of 2022, the announcement of a first wave of mobilization had generated an extremely rare event: the start of protest in Chechnya.
