SMHI initially issued a yellow warning for Norrbotten and Västerbotten's coastal areas from Umeå to just north of Luleå on Friday morning.

The reason was that during Thursday a snowfall area moved north over Norrland and that heavy snowfall was expected in the coastal country.

Although the yellow warning has been lifted from the area, the slip is expected to cause problems during the day.

Accidents and affected bus traffic

Both in Västerbotten and Västernorrland there may be delays and canceled trips in bus traffic.

On the E4 at the height of Ullånger in the northbound direction, there are reports of long queues where both plow trucks and recovery vehicles are stuck.

Even in Dalarna, the road conditions are difficult, where bus traffic is affected.

In a large part of the county, the Swedish Transport Administration has marked the road network in yellow, which means that there is a risk of, among other things, mud lines and slippery roads.

Outside Falun, at the height of Blixbo, a bus has driven into the ditch and at the height of the Långvassebron in Ludvika municipality, a truck is standing across the road.

There are no reports of more serious personal injuries.

Truck overturned on E4

During the night to Friday, a truck overturned on the E4 just north of Söderhamn.

The road is now completely closed in the southbound direction and recovery work is expected to continue throughout the morning.

According to the emergency services, the truck is across the southbound carriageway and traffic is being diverted at the scene of the accident.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, traffic will be affected until around 12.00.

The snow remover: "Only to chase"

Patrik Lövdahl has been clearing snow in Umeå since midnight to remove the heavy and wet masses of snow.

He says that work has progressed, despite the wet snow making clearing difficult.

- It has gone well, but it is stressful to finish everything in time.

You have to run between and try to open up.

It becomes a bit of chaos.

- But it's just a matter of chasing.
