When Carola Häggqvist broke through with the song Främling in Melodifestivalen 1983, the ten-year-old Anneli Lövstav was hooked.

Today, almost 40 years later, she has a room at home in the house that is filled with Carola items.

SVT met Anneli Lövstav at Stallarholme's library, where she exhibited during the winter.

Bill of exchange in Folket

The favorite is a leaflet from the magazine Folket from Carola's first summer tour in Parken Zoo.

Then 20,000 people came to see her.

- I think it's super cool because I also have a connection to Eskilstuna, says Anneli Lövstav.

Several times she has been lucky enough to meet the idol, the first time was in 1985 when she went to her first Carola concert.

Afterwards, she wrote in her diary, with Carola motifs, that she was happy.

Help Carola

Many years later, at a signing, Carola Häggqvist asked if Anneli Lövstav would consider helping at her Christmas concerts in Steninge.

Something that Anneli Lövstav happily agreed to.

- I had to try to control myself a little and land on the ground in it.

But of course I was a little nervous the first time I stepped into the barn and there was Carola, she says.

In the video above, Anneli Lövstavs shows parts of her Carola collection.
