First of all, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the democratic parties, the Federation of Industry and Commerce and people without party affiliation, to the people of all nationalities in the country, to the compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese, and to the concern and support for China's modernization drive. Friends from all over the world, I would like to extend my holiday greetings and sincere wishes!
2022 is an extremely important year in the history of the development of the party and the country.
We successfully convened the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, drawing a grand blueprint for building a modern socialist country in an all-round way.
We adhere to the general tone of the work of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully implement the new development concept, and promote high-quality development. The economy is operating within a reasonable range.
We optimize prevention and control strategies according to the time and situation, protect people's life safety and health to the greatest extent, and minimize the impact of the epidemic on economic and social development.
We have successfully hosted the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics.
We solemnly celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
We will resolutely fight against separatist activities for "Taiwan independence" and interference by external forces.
We continue to promote major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics and maintain the overall stability of the external environment.
These hard-won achievements are the result of the united struggle and tenacious struggle of the whole party, the whole army and the people of all ethnic groups in the country.
This year, Comrade Jiang Zemin passed away unfortunately. The whole Party, the whole army and the people of all ethnic groups in the country mourned deeply and were determined to carry on his legacy and unswervingly continue to advance the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Democratic supervision of environmental protection has made new contributions to the development of the party and the country.
The democratic parties and federations of industry and commerce have changed their terms one after another, electing a new leadership body, deepening the political handover, and further consolidating the common ideological and political foundation and organizational foundation for multi-party cooperation.
