The district of Jorhat, in the state of Assam (India), has lived in fear for two days.
A wild leopard has been roaming the residential area since Monday, attacking residents, reports

The animal was filmed several times by witnesses as well as by local rangers, specifies BFMTV.
On one of the videos, widely relayed on social networks, we see the feline jump over a fence, attack a van on the road before fleeing, under the dumbfounded gaze of those present.

Traps installed for capture
The leopard has already injured 15 people, including two children.
"Most of the injured were bitten and required hospitalization, but they now seem out of danger," said the spokesman for Jorhat hospital.
The feline would have gotten lost in the urban area while looking for food.
“The animal has become very aggressive,” according to the district forestry officer.
“We set traps to catch him.
In the meantime, the inhabitants of Jorhat are invited to stay at home in order to avoid any unfortunate encounter with the leopard.
