The Cabinet of Ministers submitted an agreement on mutual recognition of visas with Belarus for ratification to the State Duma

The report says that the main purpose of the agreement is to create a legal framework for regulating the procedure for foreign citizens and stateless persons to cross the border of Russia and Belarus. 

To implement the document, it is planned to create an information exchange system with Minsk on issued and canceled entry and stay permits, as well as on crossing the borders of the two countries at checkpoints.

Earlier, Belarus and Russia signed an intergovernmental agreement on navigation on inland waterways.
