The defense ministers of the Russian Federation, Syria and Turkey discussed in Moscow today, Wednesday, ways to solve the Syrian crisis, and the need to continue dialogue to achieve stability in Syria.

According to a statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense, excerpts from which were quoted today by RIA Novosti Agency: “On December 28, tripartite talks were held in Moscow between the defense ministers of the Russian Federation, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Turkey, during which ways to solve the Syrian crisis and the refugee problem, and joint efforts were discussed. to combat extremist groups in Syria.

In its statement, the ministry indicated that "after the meeting, the parties referred to the constructive nature of the dialogue that took place in this way and the need for its continuation in order to further stabilize the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic and the region as a whole."

The Turkish Ministry of Defense had announced earlier that the Turkish Minister of Defense and Head of National Intelligence, Hulusi Akar and Hakan Fidan, had arrived on an official visit to Moscow to hold important talks with their Russian counterparts.
