The retired lieutenant colonel added that the Patriot only works effectively as part of an integrated defense system of the North Atlantic Alliance, and a staff of 90 people who have completed three months of training is needed to maintain the battery.

Davis added that one battery would not be enough even for the defense of Kyiv. 

The military added that this would not change the potential of Ukrainian air defense.

Earlier, the American magazine Military Watch wrote that the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems transferred to Kyiv by Washington would not be able to significantly strengthen the air defense of Ukraine.
