Sanz explained that the determined capacity "has been conditioned because the square" is not one hundred percent of how it will be once the works are finished, focused on clearing the Puerta del Sol and rearranging the elements that are scattered in it, in the spring of next year.

"There are a series of effects, also with the excavations that have had to be done in some areas of the square, and, therefore, the available area is not the same as it would be when the works are finished. Sanz has insisted that the maximum capacity has been calculated in a "prudent" manner and in accordance with the National Police and Government Delegation, while recalling that there will be 250 Municipal Police officers who will ensure that the capacity is not exceeded and to that nobody enters the Puerta del Sol with objects that could compromise the safety of those gathered there. The filters will be located in Plaza Canalejas (Carrera de San Jerónimo), in Alcalá at Customs, in Mayor with Ciudad Rodrigo street, and in Arenal on Travesía de San Ginés, while the pre-filters will be in those same streets. but 30 or 50 meters before.

The filters and pre-filters will be carried out, through the installation of fences, by the Municipal Police (with the presence of drones from the Air Support Section), and the count will be carried out by Civil Protection at the four access points to Puerta del Sol (in the filters of Mayor, Arenal, Alcalá and Carrera de San Jerónimo streets), informing the authorized command post.

The Municipal Police, likewise, will establish a specific device to prevent street vending in Puerta del Sol and surrounding areas, as well as the presence of dangerous objects, on the 30th and 31st.
