It has almost been a day since the explosion in Enskededalen.

Several residents in the area that SVT has spoken to say that the incident has been unpleasant.

- It was like an earthquake, says Hanan.

Several families with children live in the area and right next to the entrance is the "Pysslingen" preschool.

The police: "Taken measures throughout the night"

The police were alerted to the explosion at around 10.30pm on Tuesday evening.

The incident is being investigated as public-dangerous devastation.

No one was injured in the explosion and no one is currently in custody.

A technical investigation has been carried out and the National Bomb Squad was sent to the scene.

The police have knocked on doors and questioned several witnesses.

- We have taken measures throughout the night and continue to do so during the day as well, says Tobias Lövström, local police area manager for the Globen police area.

The Christmas Day murder in Rinkeby

According to information to SVT, the damage in the stairwell occurred after a hand grenade detonated in the stairwell.

- I cannot confirm that.

We are currently investigating the matter, says Tobias Lövström.

At the address where the explosion occurred, a man who is linked to gang crime lives, according to information to SVT.

The man is said to have moved in the same circles as the 27-year-old man who was murdered in Rinkeby on Christmas Day.

However, the police do not want to comment on any connection between the events.

- We always look unconditionally and broadly at what connections there may be between cases.

I cannot comment specifically on these cases because we are in a very intensive investigation mode, says Tobias Lövström.
