Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to the Ambassador of France

“On December 28... Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Anne Bouillon was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a note of protest was presented to her,” the statement says.

It is noted that the note expressed "deep concern about the expansion and continuation of the campaign based on open slander and prejudice against Azerbaijan by various French political forces."

Earlier, the French National Assembly adopted a resolution calling on the country's government to consider the possibility of imposing sanctions against Azerbaijan.
