Events Injured a young woman in Batán after being pushed down the subway stairs by several minors to steal her mobile
The National Police frustrated this Tuesday afternoon a meeting of North African minors at the door of the Batán
menas
center in the Casa de Campo.
The agents were notified by the workers of the Madrid Community facility themselves when they found out that other minors were waiting outside the center
,
some under guardianships, who
had made a meeting to supposedly go out to rob tourists and visitors in the Country House
.
At least four National Police cars from the Moncloa police station went to the door of the center for unaccompanied foreign minors and
proceeded to identify a dozen young people aged 16 and 17, some of them with various criminal records.
The majority were boys who were residing in apartments in the Community of Madrid and other institutions dedicated to the reception of unaccompanied foreign minors.
Among them was
a minor who has been arrested several times this year
and who is the leader of a group that is allegedly dedicated to stealing watches and mobile phones from people who leave downtown nightclubs at dawn.
The workers of the center themselves explained to the Police that
these adolescents come to the Casa de Campo to capture the
youngest
men to commit crimes,
knowing that their misdeeds are not punished.
In exchange they give them money and drugs, according to the employees.
It is suspected that one of the identified minors also deals in small amounts of hashish and that he hides the drugs in an area near a bridge in the Casa de Campo.
National Police agents identifying several minors who had been left at the door of the menas center.
The minors who were outside the center were very aggressive when they were identified by the National Police.
For two months now, the agents have been present at the Casa de Campo mental health center on a daily basis due to the problems that a group of highly conflictive children in care are causing.
At least 12 men have been arrested for committing robberies and there have been numerous complaints of
assaults on
neighbors, shops, apartments and restaurants.
Some workers at the center are very nervous and several of them have resigned.
Last week
one of the educators
was bitten by one of the
menas
who also attacked a security guard.
She ended up arrested and transferred to GRUME.
Last week at the Latina security council, several residents lamented that this type of violent acts and robberies are statistically counted in the Moncloa district, on which the ore center depends, although the Batán neighborhood is the most affected by the unsafety.
In addition, several residents of Batán had already denounced on several occasions
the "call effect" caused by the
ore
center, as has been demonstrated with the urgent request to the Police by the center's educators upon learning that several boys had been left with others to steal.
