“We proceed from the fact that this process will be phased: at the beginning of next year, quarantine for those entering from abroad will be lifted,” TASS said in a statement.

The diplomatic mission added that the rules of stay in China for Russian drivers will be gradually changed.

“Passenger traffic will be opened, perhaps first in a test mode through one of the Russian-Chinese border crossings,” the message says.

The Consulate General stressed that these issues are being worked out by the authorities of the border Chinese territories.

Earlier, the General Administration of Customs of China stated that the trade turnover between Russia and China grew by 32% in the first 11 months of 2022 and amounted to a record $172.406 billion.
