Currently, the Swedish Work Environment Agency's collection of regulations (AFS) only has a general regulation for domestic animals and according to the association's operations manager, Helena Håkansson, the regulations for handling wild animals are outdated and too general.
The police are investigating the incident at Furuviksparken and have themselves drawn up a report of a violation of the Animal Welfare Act and work environment violations.
