A fire broke out in an apartment in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine) during Christmas night.

According to Le Parisien, a garland that decorated the tree would be the cause of the disaster.

Firefighters arrived around 3 a.m.

The daisy chain and the television were plugged into the same power strip.

This would have caused a short circuit in the TV.

The garland and the fir tree are set ablaze.

The flames then ravaged the entire accommodation, located on the seventh floor of a building.

Occupants of intoxicated places

About twenty firefighters and a dozen machines fought against the flames for an hour before containing the disaster.

The four people who lived in the burnt accommodation were hospitalized in “relative emergency”.

The victims were intoxicated by the fumes.

The apartment being uninhabitable, a rehousing solution had to be proposed by the town hall.
