According to Kommersant, the mentioned functions are responsible for improving the quality of communication, and calls via VoLTE in large cities of Russia account for more than 60% of voice traffic.
"The reason for the problems is the inability to apply the operator's settings due to restrictions on the Apple side," the VimpelCom press service said.
At the same time, MTS noted that they managed to activate VoLTE for the iPhone 14 line of phones, there is no certainty that the function will work on all models.
Also, high-quality voice transmission was not available for residents of Russia on iPhone 14 models, and the distribution of the Internet from the phone requires manual configuration.
Earlier it was reported that in the first quarter of 2023 the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Russia will submit a bill to the State Duma for consideration, which will allow Russian Apple users to download applications to iPhone and iPad devices not only from the App Store.
