President Yoon Seok-yeol attended the Christmas service at Yeongam Church in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, where he attended during his elementary school days today (25th), Deputy Spokesman Lee Jae-myung of the Presidential Office reported through a written briefing.



His wife, Kim Gun-hee, also joined the service.



After the worship service, President Yoon said, "It's really like a dream to meet Teacher Son Gwan-shik and Teacher Lee Sun-gil, who guided the Boy Scouts here in elementary school today."



"After studying law, I came to know that the constitutional system and all orders and institutions came from the words of the Bible," he said. "All the civilization and order we enjoy today came from the words of Jesus."



President Yoon emphasized, “On this Christmas, Jesus came to the lowest place in the world to save the poor and all the weak.



At the same time, he added, "The first thing to love one's neighbor is to do one's work diligently and fulfill one's responsibilities."



Deputy Spokesperson Lee explained at the briefing, "Yeongam Church is the church that President Yoon attended from the first grade of elementary school to the first grade of middle school," and "revisited the church after 49 years."
