Three people died on Friday morning in a gun attack in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, near a Kurdish cultural center.

Three other people were injured.

The suspect, a 69-year-old man, said he acted because he was "racist".

In Paris, the Kurdish community gathered at Place de la République to express their anger and dismay.

The Kurdish community oscillates between emotion and anger after a shooting yesterday in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, which left three dead and three injured.

What is the atmosphere in Place de la République in Paris where a demonstration is being held this Saturday?

“We are very angry”

There is sadness, but above all a lot of anger.

Another massacre, can we read on a sign raised by Suzanne, a demonstrator.

Since yesterday, the tears have not left her eyes.

"We are very sad, we are very upset, we are very angry", she testifies on Europe 1. "Everywhere in France, we are not safe".

A strong feeling of insecurity and abandonment that Azad also shares since the attack in 2013, where three Kurdish activists were killed in Paris.

"We were abandoned ten years ago, we asked for security from the government. There is no protection, we never had any. Yesterday, I could have been in the place of the comrades who were over there. Kurdistan is our mother, it is the one who gave us life. France is our father, it is the one who educated us, fed us, bleached us, worked us, who gave us given everything. Why isn't our father here to protect us?" he asks.

“We consider that it is an attack”

Another Kurd, a member of the Kurdish Democratic Center in France, does not believe in a simple shooting.

For him, Turkish President Erdogan is responsible.

"We think that behind these assassinations, there is not only racism. We believe that it is an attack and an assassination which was organized It was targeted", he testifies on Europe 1.

The Kurdish community came in large numbers this Saturday to Place de la République in Paris.

There are speeches and the rally will continue until early afternoon.
