It is assumed that the corresponding system will interact for the purpose of authentication with the information systems of accredited state bodies, the Central Bank and organizations that perform authentication based on biometric personal data of individuals.
At the same time, the law prohibits compelling the delivery of biometrics, the storage of genomic information, and also limits the list of collected biometrics and provides for the possibility of simplified deletion of data from the system through the “Gosuslugi”.
Earlier, the State Duma adopted a bill on the creation of a unified biometric system in Russia.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Anton Gorelkin spoke about the prospects for the use of biometrics.
