Macron discussed with the President of Azerbaijan the escalation of tension in the South Caucasus

“The President of France expressed deep concern over the resumption of tension in the South Caucasus,” TASS quoted a statement.

Macron called for respect for the November 9, 2020 ceasefire agreement and for free movement along the Lachin corridor.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the situation around the blocking of the Lachin corridor during a telephone conversation.
