After the death of three people near a Kurdish cultural center in Paris at noon, incidents broke out.

They began when the crowd came up against a cordon of security forces protecting the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, who came to the site to provide an update on the investigation and to speak to journalists, noted an AFP reporter.

The security forces fired tear gas canisters at the demonstrators, who in turn threw projectiles in their direction, burned garbage cans and erected barricades in the street.

Clashes were still in progress shortly before 5:00 p.m.
