Alexander Shalpuk, head of the main organizational and mobilization department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, said this on the air of Radio Minsk.
According to him, these are planned events, and the number of those called up for training camps has not changed for several years.
“Next year, for example, there is a resolution of the Council of Ministers, which stipulates that in 2023, 9,000 people should be called up for military training,” Shalpuk said.
Earlier, a sudden check of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Belarus was completed.
