  • YoDona Brooke Shields, topless at 56: "I wanted to show what my body is like today"

The 57-year-old actress

Brooke Shields

has taken a trip back in time in the latest edition of her podcast

'Now What?'

, in which she has recalled very interesting details of the filming of 'The Blue Lagoon', a film that she starred in when she was only 14 years old.

"They will never make a film like this again: they would not allow it," Shields acknowledged in the podcast, in which the other protagonist,

Christopher Atkins,

who was 18 years old when the

Randall Kleiser

film was recorded in which You can see a multitude of nudes, sex scenes and above all a lot of eroticism.

"There were animals that suffered during filming. We skewered fish and did all kinds of crazy things. Children run naked on a beach," says the American.

"I was embarrassed that you didn't see," Christopher Atkins later notes.

"There were scenes where I

was going on a chute with you

, going down a slide and things like that. It was a little awkward, but it was also fun for me because at the time I was just going to do it."

"My hair was glued to my body to cover my boobs

," Shields explains.

"But I don't know what they were trying to cover up," she adds.

“Remember the stickers?” she continues, turning to Christopher Atkins.

"I had these little flesh-colored things glued to my nipples because nipples were my limit, which is normal for this movie."

Another of the things that the New Yorker remembers in the podcast are the attempts by the filming set for Christopher and her to become a couple in real life.

"They were desperate for us to fall in love with each other

. And I remember thinking, 'Well, let's get to know each other first rather than trying to fall in love by forcing it."

"It didn't sit well with me trying to force myself to feel something," Shields continues.

"I wanted them to leave me alone."

Of course, Atkins explains that he has great memories of the recording.

"There were a lot of great moments. I think there was a lot of innocence in that movie, which made it work even better."
