A couple was attacked on Monday while on a train from Paris to Montereau-Fault-Yonne (Seine-et-Marne).
Around 10:30 p.m., they were attacked by another traveler who, according to La République de Seine-et-Marne, made incoherent remarks.
For some unknown reason, this man approached them before insulting them.
He then reportedly punched the couple and pulled out a knife to threaten them.
Two train passengers then intervened to help them.
They managed to disarm him and tackled him to the ground.
They then got him off at Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station.
The police arrested him there.
One to two days of ITT were prescribed for the two victims.
The suspect was hospitalized at the request of a doctor.
