700 people were present in the hall in Alstermo when the home team Amo Handboll defeated visiting HF Karlskrona.

34-21 was the result and Amo keeps his place as series leader in the Allsvenskan.

- Many probably didn't think it would go the way it did, everyone was probably shocked that it went as well as it did, they played absolutely fantastic, says Petra Nilsson, one of those who saw the match.

For Erik Rutvall, who is doing his first season in Amo Handboll, it feels extra good today.

The coach: "Nice Christmas present"

- This is what we have been waiting for, for everyone to rise to this level.

And somewhere we do it in front of 700 people and the series finale.

It's a lot of fun, he says.

Tomas Lundberg is the club's team coach.

- This was a nice Christmas present, we can live on that for several weeks, he says.

After Wednesday's match, Amo Handboll tops the table and will do so until the end of January when the series starts again.

- Our goal is for us to move up to play in the top league.

We're going up in the league.

That's it, says Tomas Lundberg.
