A resident of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (Vaucluse) saved the life of a man and his three-and-a-half-year-old daughter on Tuesday.

In wanting to rescue the child who had fallen into the water, the father of the family also found himself carried away by the current.

The two victims found themselves in the Sorgue during a game of hide and seek, reports

The man was able to cling to a barrier.

A chance for him and his daughter that an inhabitant of the village passed by.

The savior said he was looking for an escaped dog.

It was only after hearing several calls for help that he saw the two victims, from Avignon (Vaucluse).

He did not hesitate for a second to jump into the water to recover the child, then his father.

Half an hour later, everyone was safe and sound.

If, for the Good Samaritan, "it was just normal", the town hall hailed his heroic act which is not the first.

The man had indeed already rescued several children trapped in a burning apartment in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (Vaucluse).
