Panayotov wrote about this in his social networks.

According to him, he sent his son to Bulgaria for Christmas on a Lufthansa flight via Frankfurt am Main to Sofia.

The diplomat added that he ordered an escort for his son, who was supposed to meet him in Frankfurt and put him on a plane flying to Sofia.

“The service is paid, and the company confirmed it, but on the day of the flight, the assistance service for a 12-year-old child was canceled.

At the central office of the airline, the reason was announced: “Bulgaria is part of the Russian Federation,” the TASS ambassador quotes.

According to Bulgarian media, in the end, the crew members still helped Panayotov's son get to the plane bound for Sofia from Frankfurt.
