The Investigating Court number 5 of Gavà ordered provisional detention without bail for five detainees for raping three women in various towns in Baix Llobregat in 2021. Investigators believe that there may be more victims after analyzing several messages from the suspects' mobile phones.

Specifically, the judge charges the five investigated with five crimes of sexual assault and three of sexual abuse of three women,

Those investigated have availed themselves of their right to testify exclusively to their lawyers.

The Prosecutor's Office and the private prosecution, which represents the victims, requested the entry into prison of those detained by the Mossos d'Esquadra.

In its order, the court remarks that "from the procedures carried out, it has been shown that it is an organized group that acts in the same way with its victims. One of them captures the girls and then the others take advantage of their vulnerability, subjecting them to non-consensual sexual practices.

In addition, the judge adds that the investigation in this proceeding reveals that "there are three victims, but also from the mobile phone messages it is inferred that there are other victims who could not be identified. It can be seen that the manner of acting of the investigated is common and they have normalized it, belittling women, considering them objects whose purpose is to satisfy their sexual desires and underestimating the will of women".
