China News Agency, Hong Kong, December 21 (Reporter Han Xingtong) Four people in Hong Kong were suspected of participating in an illegal assembly outside the Hong Kong Polytechnic University during the "revision storm" in 2019, and were convicted of "illegal assembly" and other crimes. The case was held on the 21st. Sentenced in the Hong Kong District Court, the four were sentenced to 15 to 24 months in prison.

  The defendants in this case include Chen Chongyi, Tan Haoming, Mo Dehui and Deng Zhuoru.

Among them, Chen Chongyi, Tan Haoming, and Mo Dehui were each charged with one count of "illegal assembly", while Deng Zhuoru was charged with one count of "possession of objects with intent to destroy or damage property" and "possession of offensive weapons in public places".

  According to the verdict of the judiciary, the incident occurred on the morning of November 18, 2019. The three defendants, Chen Chongyi, Tan Haoming, and Mo Dehui, participated in an illegal assembly in Tsim Sha Tsui East Science Museum Square and the Centennial Park of the Municipal Council; the defendant Deng Zhuoru was not an "illegal assembly" "One of the defendants of the crime, but the place and time of his arrest are very close to the other defendants, and the video clips he took at the scene are also evidence in this case.

  After interrogation, the defendants Chen Chongyi, Tan Haoming and Mo Dehui were found guilty of "illegal assembly", and Deng Zhuoru was found guilty of "possessing offensive weapons in a public place".

The case was sentenced in the District Court on the 21st. Chen Chongyi, Tan Haoming, and Mo Dehui were each sentenced to 24 months in prison, and Deng Zhuoru was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
