The Parcoursup orientation platform opens this Tuesday, students cannot yet make their wishes there but it is possible to discover the procedure and the new features of the platform.

Among them, new presentation sheets and more opacity for future students.

The Parcoursup orientation platform opens this Tuesday.

It is not yet possible for final year students or students in reorientation to formulate their wishes, they will be able to do so in a month.

Students can still familiarize themselves with the procedure and we can also discover these new features.

First of all, there are presentation sheets of the establishments which have been modified.

They had been found difficult to understand.

They have therefore been completed with several details such as the status of the training, public or private.

The sheets now mention the nature of the training: selection, openness to work-study, its cost and the dates of open days.

Information "made simpler"

"We had this information on the site, but today it is made simpler, more accessible and so that everyone can identify it. This is the meaning of listening to users. Knowing how to listen to what they tell us and meet their expectations", explains Jérôme Teillard, project manager Parcours Sup to the government.

More opacity in the platform

A new section also sees the light of day for more transparency.

It details the criteria on which the establishments base themselves to select their candidates.

The opacity of the platform was one of the main criticisms leveled at the platform.

"We show what the weight of each criterion is. For example, school results, it is 60% of all the obtaining of the examination of the candidacies. These are elements of information that we will communicate for each training", explains Jérôme Teillard.

The next milestone to note is January 18, when students will make their wishes until Thursday, March 9.
