“Before we agree on the 10th or 11th package, we must sit down and seriously discuss the consequences of the sanctions,” Balazs Orban said, adding that this should be done by the next EU summit.

The prime minister's adviser also said that Hungary will seek for itself derogations from EU sanctions against Russia in the energy sector and other areas where "sanctions harm European countries more than Russia."

Earlier, Hungary said that the gas price ceiling would not force the country to negotiate contracts with the EU.
