China News Agency, Hong Kong, December 20th. The results of the 2022 Chinese historical figures election hosted by the National History Education Center (Hong Kong) were announced on December 20th. In the group voting of primary and secondary schools, Zheng Hejun ranked first.

  The National History Education Center (Hong Kong)'s "Annual Chinese Historical Figures Election" series of activities has entered the fifth year. This year's thinking direction is "Benefits from China and Foreign Countries, Safe and Neighborly", and experts and scholars recommend Zhang Qian (Han Dynasty), Xuan Zang (Tang Dynasty), Marco Polo (Yuan Dynasty), Zheng He (Ming Dynasty), Guo Songtao (Qing Dynasty) and other five famous historical figures in the history of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries are for participants to vote for.

  The voting began on November 7 and ended on November 21. 333 primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong participated, and a total of 91,813 valid votes were received. The organizer said that primary and secondary school students participated in this election more enthusiastically than before.

  In terms of votes, primary and secondary school students voted roughly the same.

According to the number of votes received, the voting results of the primary school group are: Zheng He, Xuanzang, Zhang Qian, Marco Polo, Guo Songtao; the voting results of the middle school group are: Zheng He, Marco Polo, Zhang Qian, Xuanzang, Guo Songtao.
