Broadcast from 8:30 p.m., the pre-recorded program will show the French head of state answering questions from the editorial staff of Papotin, made up of around fifty journalists with autism spectrum disorders.

"After Gilles Lellouche, Camille Cottin and Julien Doré, Emmanuel Macron lent himself to the game of this atypical interview, evoking pell-mell his personal life, his taste for poetry but also his apprehensions as president", specifies France 2 in a press release.

Emmanuel Macron is the third President of the Republic, after Jacques Chirac in 2002 and Nicolas Sarkozy in 2015, to engage in the exercise.

"Les Rencontres du Papotin" is the television format derived from the newspaper "Le Papotin", launched in 1990 by Driss El Kesri, educator at the Antony day hospital, near Paris.

Since then, many celebrities (actors, singers, writers, filmmakers, politicians, etc.) have been interviewed by the newspaper's editorial staff.

The television program, moderated by Julien Bancilhon, editor-in-chief of the publication and psychologist, was launched in September on an idea by directors Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache (“Intouchables”, “Exceptions norms”, “Le sens de la fête ").
