They got so confused that they ended up worrying local residents.

Saturday evening, around 8 p.m., residents of the Lalande district, in Toulouse, called the police to report that four strangers were arguing loudly in the underground parking lot of their residence.

When police officers from the specialized field brigade (BST) and the anti-crime brigade (BAC) arrived on site, the four men fled on their own, one throwing a car key.

All were caught and the car quickly spotted.

The search inside the vehicle led to the seizure of 1.1 kg of cocaine "packaged in capsules", for a resale value of around 60,000 euros.

Scam in the air?

The police also found 4,780 euros in cash, including, more surprisingly, 4,100 euros in counterfeit notes.

Was this counterfeit currency the cause of the dispute?

Was there a scam between dealer and resellers.

The extension of the custody of the four suspects – a Toulousain and three Héraultais aged 19 to 21 –, “not very talkative”, did not make it possible to answer this question.

Three of the protagonists must be brought before a magistrate on Wednesday morning.

The fourth was dismissed.
