Since February 28, the European Union has banned Russian aircraft from landing, taking off or flying over its territory.

Prior to this, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Austria, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Canada, France, Cyprus and a number of other countries announced the closure of airspace for Russian airlines.

On February 28, the Federal Air Transport Agency, as a response to the ban by the EU member states on the operation of flights of Russian aircraft, closed the sky for airlines of 36 states.
