“The ninth package of sanctions against Russia.

The main restrictions have been imposed against 168 companies associated with the military-industrial complex,” Dombrovskis said on Twitter.

According to him, the EU is also expanding investment bans against the Russian energy and mining sectors, as well as the service sector for Russian business.

Earlier, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, confirmed that the European Union had agreed on the ninth package of sanctions against Russia, and explained the delay in reaching an agreement by the fact that the EU countries sought to "guarantee world food security."

According to RIA Novosti, a new package of EU sanctions against Russia will be published on Friday evening, December 16.
