A court in California has scheduled new hearings in the case of Russian Vinnik for February 14

This, according to TASS, was reported by Judge Susan Ilston.

“By this time, the process of providing materials on the case should be completed,” she added.

Earlier, lawyer David Risk expressed the hope that the candidacy of his client Alexander Vinnik will be included in the list for an exchange between Russia and the United States.

Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said that Vinnik complains about insufficient food in prison, he was also deprived of the right to meet with a priest. 

Vinnik was arrested in Greece in the summer of 2017 at the request of the United States.

The American authorities accused him of money laundering through a cryptocurrency exchange.
