As the name of the Placentia Post Office in Orange County, USA was changed to 'Jangho Kim', it became the '5th' building in the United States named after a Korean.

U.S. Congressman Young Kim proposed a 'post office renaming' bill in February to honor Private First Class Kim Jang-ho, who died while dispatched to Iraq, and finally passed it on the 14th local time.

Private First Class Kim Jang-ho, who was born in Korea and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1990, was killed on November 13, 2006 by an explosive planted on the street while patrolling in a car in Baghdad, Iraq.

Rep. Kim said, "Private Private Kim Jang-ho left us too early, but his courage and spirit of service remain with us."

"It is a great honor to honor the sacrifice and valor who lost his life early in the war against terrorism and to help future generations remember his name and story," he added.

Private First Class Kim's family said after the bill was passed, "Jang-ho was a devoted soldier and a young man with a promising future."

post office called 'Dosan Chang-ho Ahn' ,

'Charles H Kim' elementary school

named after independence activist Kim Ho,

'Kim Yeong-ok' middle school
