And twenty.

The Belgian police carried out their twentieth search in four days in the investigation of suspicions of corruption involving Qatar to influence decisions of this EU institution.

This is the first search directly targeting the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels.

This investigation, opened "more than four months" ago, was accelerated on Friday with the arrest of six suspects in the Belgian capital.

Four of them were imprisoned on Sunday by the Brussels judge who is leading the investigations, including the Greek vice-president of Parliament Eva Kaili.

The federal prosecutor's office reported the seizure, in total, of several hundred thousand euros in three different places, from three suspects.

In detail: "600,000 euros at the home of one of the suspects, several hundred thousand euros in a suitcase seized in a room of a Brussels hotel and around 150,000 euros in an apartment belonging to a European deputy".

The four imprisoned suspects will appear on Wednesday before the Brussels council chamber, the court responsible for ruling on the extension of the pre-trial detention.
