Royals Harry and Meghan: the millions they earn for being victims
Royals Harry and Meghan defend documentary after criticism over their privacy
"They were willing to lie to protect my brother
, but not to tell the truth to protect us."
Prince Harry takes direct aim at the British monarchy and the Kensington Palace environment in the trailer for the final part of the documentary series, which he has recorded for Netflix with the Duchess of Sussex.
In the latest trailer for
Harry & Meghan
, which was released this Monday the 12th, the couple resumes the thread of
internal
and media conspiracies to justify their flight to Canada to finally settle in the United States.
"I wonder what would have happened to us if we hadn't left then
," Harry questions about his decision to shelve official functions in support of the Windsors and
move his family to California
.
The couple moved in March 2020 - to Vancouver initially and eventually to Montecino - just as, according to the Duchess,
their security level in the UK was downgraded
and "everyone knew where we were".
Security is a constant argument in the prince's public battle against the British
establishment
.
He has even sued the Home Office, which
denies him the protection of armed agents from Scotland Yard's special brigade
on private trips and visits to the country, alone or in the company of his wife and his two children.
The issue comes up in the
first three episodes of the Netflix series
- broadcasts began last week - and the thread is apparently taken up again in this new block, more focused on the reasons for
Megxit
.
"I said, 'we have to get out of here,'" he recalls before the trailer montage advances to a scene recorded on his mobile.
"We are on the flight of freedom," the younger of the two sons of the now King Charles and the late Lady Diana exclaimed jubilantly.
A friend of the dukes, the music producer Tyler Perry who welcomed them into his Hollywood residence, says:
"They just wanted to be free to love each other and be happy
. I applaud them for that."

Another sequence from the
advance of the docuseries
collects the royal family in Windsor during the funeral procession of Philip of Edinburgh, spouse of the late Queen Elizabeth.
The three male grandchildren walk together, with Peter Phillips, Princess Anne's eldest son, ensuring equal distance between William and Harry.
Over these images the voiceover
of the youngest son sounds
,
launching his initial taunt of the different treatment that his older brother receives.
It is not clear who "they" are
in the phrase in the original version of the Netflix trailer.
Harry says "they" don't mind "lying to protect" the heir, but "they are never willing to tell the truth to protect" him and Meghan.
It would not be the first time that
he accuses the palace environment of "filtering" personal data and inventing information
that the media then publish as if it were true science.
Techno entrepreneur
Christopher Bouzi,
founder of the firm Bot Sentinel on disinformation on social networks, supported the couple in previous installments and is back to stand up for them.
"They were actively recruiting people to disseminate information,"
he alleges in the 90-second montage.
He speaks, once again, of "them" without specifying who it is or revealing, for the moment, which palatial court he is referring to.
It is possible that the grenades were directed at both royal houses, that of the king, his father, and that of his brother, the prince of Wales.
The remaining three episodes of
Harry & Meghan
air on Thursday the 15th.
