Lack of care places - operations are canceled at Blekinge Hospital

The reason is a large sickness absence among the staff in combination with a high search pressure, writes Region Blekinge in a press release.

As early as Tuesday, certain reception visits and planned operations are scheduled that can wait.

They are also introducing a stop on admissions at a specific department as there are many patients sick with covid-19.

- The measures are taken to ensure that we can provide the most urgent care, says Maria Arvidsson Karlsson, head of health care in Region Blekinge.
