N-party House of Councilors lawmaker Gersey asked for a written answer as to why he was absent from the Diet

Ishii, chairman of the House of Councilors Steering Committee, has asked NHK Party member of the House of Councilors Gersey, who has stayed overseas and is absent from the Diet, to respond in writing by the end of this month.

The NHK Party member of the House of Councilors Garthy, who was elected in July, has never attended the Diet since he was elected, saying he is staying in the UAE = United Arab Emirates.

She has submitted her overseas travel notification to the House of Councillors, but she is not recognized by the House of Councilors Management Committee because the date of her return to Japan is not listed.

On the 10th, at the end of the Diet session, Chairman Ishii of the House Steering Committee called NHK Party Policy Research Chairman Hamada and the secretary of Rep. Garthy to a board meeting.

Then, I handed her a document and asked her to reply in writing with the reason for her absence by the 23rd of this month.

Mr. Hamada told reporters, "I was asked to exchange documents, so I would like to return it as soon as possible. While Rep. Garthy hopes to return to Japan and attend the House next year, he feels that he is in danger. I'm hesitant. I want to respect the will of 'I want to work overseas.'"
