In Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, the first summit meeting between China and Arab countries was held, and President Xi Jinping said, "It is a milestone in the history of both sides," emphasizing the closeness with Arab countries and having influence in the region. It is a form of restraining the United States.

The first summit meeting between China and Arab countries was held in Saudi Arabia on the 9th, and was attended by President Xi Jinping and leaders of Arab countries in the Middle East and Africa.

"This meeting is a milestone in the history of China and Arab countries, and will surely lead to a better future for mutual friendship and cooperation," Xi said, according to a statement by the Chinese side.

In response, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who chaired the conference, said, "As the world faces challenges related to energy and food security, it is important that we work together. We have great interest," he said, emphasizing the expansion of cooperation in various fields.

China has positioned this conference as "the largest and best diplomatic activity toward the Arab countries since its founding," emphasizing its close ties with the Arab countries and putting a check on the United States, which has influence in the region.

During his first visit to Saudi Arabia since 2016, President Xi held talks with more than 10 heads of state, including meetings with King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed, as well as with Emir Tamim of Qatar.

It seems that China wants to increase its presence in the Arab countries, secure a stable supply of crude oil, and obtain cooperation in promoting the "One Belt, One Road" initiative for a huge economic zone.
